A truck driver was beaten up by three men in a road rage case in Gurgaon’s Bilaspur on Wednesday night, the police said, adding that they are in the process of identifying the accused.

According to police, the group attacked truck driver Hansraj, who was heading to an Amazon facility in Jamalpur at around 10.15 pm. “They overtook his truck and beat him up, claiming that he did not give them space to drive away,” a police officer said. Hansraj has sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a Rewari hospital, she added.

Hansraj, a Patiala resident, said that he was beaten up twice by the accused. “I was driving away when they started speeding and hurling abuses. Then they made me stop the vehicle and get me down. Then they started beating me up, so I ran away and tried to flee with the truck to the office, thinking I would be safe there, but these men followed me and stopped my truck again, at the company gate. Even though there were a lot of people watching, no one interfered,” he said.
