Shah Rukh Khan has a lot to celebrate this year. With two major blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan, collectively amassing a business of Rs 2000 crore, 2023 has become one of the most significant years of SRK’s career. Additionally, he has the eagerly awaited film Dunki in the pipeline. His daughter, Suhana Khan, is also poised to make her acting debut in The Archies. And to add to that, the actor has turned 58 on Thursday.
Shah Rukh commenced his birthday celebration by greeting a multitude of fans outside his residence, Mannat, at midnight. Twenty-four hours later, the actor partied with friends and colleagues from the film industry at an intimate birthday bash. The guest list included Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Amrita Arora, among others.
Before the birthday bash, Shah Rukh Khan met with his fans during a meet-and-greet event organized by his fan club. He also watched the teaser of Dunki alongside the film’s director, Rajkumar Hirani, and expressed his gratitude to his fans for their enthusiastic cheers and warm wishes. The actor also divulged some details of the film.
He said, “The most beautiful thing about Raju sir’s films is that there is no lead actor in his films. The story in his films is the lead. Of course, I am the hero in the film, I will dance, romance, sing in the film. I am romancing after years in a film. The romance is so beautiful in Dunki. But all the actors in the film, apart from the main actors Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, have a meaningful part. I see Raju sir’s film as a mala. I am the thread that puts all the beads together but I am not the main locket. It’s a theatrical experience working with such wonderful actors and I learnt a lot in this films. Ab agali film main mein aise ke taise karduga acting ki (Now, I will perform superbly in the next film).”
