Fans across the world are in a state of mourning as Friends star Matthew Perry died on Saturday. The Emmy-nominated actor, 54, was found dead at his Los Angeles home. The Los Angeles Times and TMZ.com, both citing unnamed law enforcement sources, reported that Perry was found dead in a hot tub.
Ironically, the actor’s last Instagram post was supposedly clicked in a hot tub. The photo, posted on October 23, had him relaxing in the warm water under the moonlight. He captioned the photo in his inimitable humour, as he wrote, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
Matthew Perry often used the title ‘Mattman’ for himself. Fans often noted how he referred to Batman and even wondered if he would star in one of the future films.
On X (formerly Twitter), the late actor posted about mental health and the stigma around it. He wrote on Wednesday, “Let’s make stigmas a stigma. -I’m Mattman #mentalhealth”.
