“However, it was important that this does not remain a language centre. but offers courses which can lead to employment and thus, a committee of experts was formed to create an industry-oriented curriculum,” an official statement from the department added.

A six-member committee of experts was formed by the state to create a structure of the university, its curriculum and other details such as whether this will be a single institution offering courses or can also be made an affiliating body. The committee has submitted its final recommendations now and the university is expected to start functioning in the upcoming academic year. The six-member committee was headed by Sadanand More, renowned litterateur and chairman of Maharashtra Rajya Sahitya and Sanskriti Mandal.
