During the meeting at the Raj Bhavan, they submitted a memorandum to Uikey requesting that an all-party meeting be arranged with PM Modi.

“The Peace Committee constituted by the Union Government has not done any visible work to restore peace and harmony in Manipur…We consider that the Hon’ble PM is the only hope for bringing peace in the state,” said the memorandum.

A statement by the Raj Bhavan later said Uikey assured the leaders that steps would be taken to ensure a dialogue process between the two communities (Meiteis and Kukis).
