Lokesh Kanagaraj has joined the list of directors who have turned producers. Lokesh recently announced that he is starting his own production house titled G Squad. Now, he is teaming up with director Vijay Kumar of Uriyadi fame for a film, which will be bankrolled by G Squad. The first look poster and the title of the movie were unveiled on Wednesday. The film is named after David Fincher’s iconic movie Fight Club.

Vijay Kumar is playing the lead role and has written the dialogues, while the film is directed by Abbas A Rahmath. Govind Vasantha of 96 fame is composing music for the movie.

Lokesh Kanagaraj shared the poster on social media and wrote, “Super kicked to present #FightClub featuring @Vijay_B_Kumar machi and gang.”

Earlier, Lokesh Kanagaraj announced that he is starting the production house to support his assistants and friends with their creative ideas. He called it an attempt to redefine the landscape of storytelling and entertainment.

Director Vijay Kumar made his debut with Uriyadi, a socio-political thriller, that led to debate about the caste system and how politicians exploit it for their benefit. He made a second part of the film, which couldn’t live up to expectations. He was one of the writers of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, and now, he is making a comeback as an actor with the upcoming film.

Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is working on his next project which has Rajinikanth in the lead role. The untitled movie will go on floors next year. Lokesh has confirmed it is not part of LCU and will be a standalone film. He also has Kaithi 2, a standalone Rolex film, and Vikram 2 in the pipeline.
