Issuing a lookout circular against two men who allegedly disposed of the body of Divya Pahuja, a 27-year-old former model who was shot dead in a hotel room last week, the Gurgaon Police have announced two rewards of Rs 50,000 each for any information on the duo and the body.
Police said the men, Balraj Singh Gill and Ravi Banga, were allegedly tasked by the main accused, Abhijeet Singh, to dispose of the body.
According to police, during the investigation, it was found that Gill, a resident of Panchkula Sector 5, and Banga, a resident of Gurudwara Road, Model Town in Hisar, were also involved in the murder. The Crime Branch has deployed six teams to arrest them.
“Both wanted suspects are making every effort to evade arrest and might even flee abroad. Hence, an LOC has been issued for them to prevent them from leaving the country,” police said in a statement.
Divya, a resident of Baldev Nagar, was killed at City Point Hotel on January 2. Three men, including hotel owner Singh and two staffers Hemraj and Om Prakash, were arrested in connection with the murder. A 20-year-old woman, Megha, was also arrested for allegedly helping the accused dispose of the weapon and Divya’s ID and belongings.
Police, meanwhile, are yet to find the body.
Police said Divya was wearing a black and red mesh top, deep blue jeans, and a golden watch at the time of the incident. “She had tattoos on her waist and right shoulder… and an old scar on her left thigh and a fresh bullet wound on her forehead,” police said in their statement.
Gill and Banga are suspected to have taken the body in a BMW. While the car was found at a bus stand in Patiala, the body was not inside. An officer had said her body is suspected to be in the canals in Punjab and divers had been pressed into service to find it.
