Adani Electricity gets distribution licence, 500 units in SEEPZ to benefit | Mumbai News
1 min readAdani Electricity—SEEPZ (AEML SEEPZ), has obtained a distribution licence for Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This licence allows them to provide electricity services to nearly 500 business units in SEEPZ area. Their operations officially begin on Nov 1.
This move is expected to lead to a significant reduction in electricity tariffs in SEEPZ.
“Lower electricity costs are anticipated to benefit businesses operating in SEEPZ area, enabling them to offer products and services to international markets at more competitive rates. This, in turn, is expected to contribute to the growth of the local economy and the country as a whole,” said Rajesh Kumar Mishra (IRS), Zonal Development Commissioner and CPS Chauhan (IRS), Joint Development Commissioner, SEEPZ SEZ Authority jointly.
