At least one person died and 10 others sustained minor injuries when a private bus lost control and fell into a trench beside the national highway and caught fire in Telangana’s Jogulamba Gadwal district early Saturday morning.
The bus travelling from Hyderabad to Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh met with an accident at around 2.35 am near the Tenth Police Battalion in Beechupalli on the national highway, the police said.
Police suspect overspeeding and negligence on the part of the driver. “The driver was sleepy and we are registering a case against him.

One woman was burnt to death and others have only minor injuries. Three people are in hospital,” a police official told indianexpress.com.
There were 40 people in the bus at the time of the accident, and police, fire brigade and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) teams were quickly pressed into the rescue operation. As passengers tried to come out to safety following the accident, one woman was trapped and burnt alive in the mishap. The official said all injured passengers were out of danger and the driver of the bus is in custody for questioning.
